I listen, act, and help individuals transform
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and Ordained Interfaith Minister committed to helping young adults, adults, and families.
I draw upon various psychological approaches according to the problem being treated and my assessment of what will best benefit you.
I utilize Emotion-Focused Therapy (individual, couple, family, and trauma) which draws upon humanistic, psychodynamic, Gestalt, attachment, and family system theories. I often incorporate CBT, trauma theory, internal family systems, emotional freedom techniques, mindfulness, and strengths-based principles. I also understand the connection between mood and food. As an ordained minister, I can intertwine religious/spiritual practices if this is what you desire. I am open to and understand many faith and spiritual practices.
In addition, I completed the training "Religious Trauma Studies" through the Global Center for Religious Research and the "Understanding Cults: A Foundational Course for Clinicians" through the Freedom of Mind Resource Center. With this training, I can assist clients in healing from religious and spiritual abuse, and the after-effects of cult involvement.
Please note that I do not provide custody evaluation recommendations, medication or prescription recommendations, or legal advice, as these activities do not fall within my scope of practice. I also do not take on any cases that potentially could lead to testifying in court. This includes parenting disputes and criminal issues.
I greatly desire to be 100% supportive of your life’s journey and appreciate your cultural, spiritual, and ethnic background. My goal is to assist you to move forward in discovering, embracing, and becoming your true self thereby improving your life and relationships.
